House Resolution 38
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MR. ROBERT L. "BOB" CHANDLER UPON HIS RETIREMENT AS CHANCERY CLERK OF YALOBUSHA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Chandler has served as the Chancery Clerk of Yalobusha County, Mississippi, since he was elected in 1991; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Chandler, the oldest son of Oscar "Dock" and Faye Chandler, was born and raised in Yalobusha County; and
WHEREAS, serving his country during the Vietnam War, Mr. Chandler served two tours of duty as NCOIC of Transportation of Long Binh Depot with a staff of 31 drivers and five secretaries and also as a drug control counselor; and
WHEREAS, for 10 years, Mr. Chandler was employed by Yalobusha County as a mapper and assisted the chancery clerk, tax assessor-collector, circuit clerk and board of supervisors in the different areas of county government; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Chandler has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his beautiful wife, the former Mary Pullen, and their children, Andrea and Bobby; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to recognize and commend such outstanding Mississippians as Mr. Chandler, who has dedicated eight years of service to the citizens of Yalobusha County:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Chandler upon his retirement as the Chancery Clerk of Yalobusha County and extend to him our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Chandler and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
